Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) has commenced its annual re-affirmation and sustenance of a culture of excellence, productivity, goals and visions amongst its management, faculty and senior non-teaching Staff.

While reacting to the various societal issues that SUN is set to tackle since it began operation in Kano State, Nigeria, particularly on intellectual poverty and career underdevelopment in the society, this institution of higher learning will empower its students with knowledge, skills and value-based education as they return for the 2019/2020 academic session.

Based on the above, the university management organized a meeting to reaffirm the institution’s positions, a platform to prepare participants for the task ahead of the commencement of the 2019/2020 academic session in October as well as to orientate new members of the management, faculty and staff.

While giving his opening speech, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sudhakar Kota called for the re-enactment of the institutions’ corporate values and goals that brought about the establishment of the institution in Nigeria since 2018.

He said, “Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) is a new horizon that has been opened to recognize and address the needs of the Nigerian educational sector and meet business requirements by developing human capital essential for good performance”.

“Our teaching pedagogy at SUN is based on a new approach of integrating knowledge with professional inputs from industry and orienting the students with qualitative theoretical knowledge that enables them to perform in practical situations” he added.

Reiterating the power of visions, he encouraged that the solutions to societal challenges may be the services Skyline University Nigeria has come to offer. He, therefore, encouraged the faculty and staff of SUN to dream big and aim high until we achieve our visions and goals in sustaining an excellent Knowledge, Skills & Value-Based Education in Kano, Nigeria and in the international arena.
