Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) Sets to Donate 2000 Books Amongst Institutions of Higher Learning in Nigeria

Skyline University Nigeria through the University Library has adopted with consensus to support the transformation of education in Nigeria and the world over through the donation of library materials to institutions of higher learning. This commendable feat is another milestone that the university has been able to accomplish within the short period of her existence.

This was made public on Wednesday, 20th November 2019, during an official visit of the Deputy College Librarian, Saadatu Rimi College of Education to Skyline University Nigeria to receive part of the donated books on behalf of the college.

While disseminating the good news, the Head Librarian, Mr. Kabiru Danladi Garba said, “Saadatu Rimi College of Education is the first to benefit from this gesture amongst the ten institutions of higher learning that will be benefiting from the information resources”. “The donations are one of the university’s contribution to the growth of education in Nigeria”, Mr. Kabiru remarked.

Receiving the donations on behalf of Saadatu Rimi College of Education, the Deputy College Librarian, Hajiya Maburuka Abubakar Abba, accompanied by Mr Shazali said that the materials received will not only be used by the current students but also by future students. “We appreciate Skyline University Nigeria for the kind gesture and promised that the college of education will judiciously use the materials for the promotion of quality education in Nigeria.

Skyline University Nigeria Library provides access to quality resources and innovative services to stimulate creativity, intellectual curiosity, facilitate lifelong learning and research within its community. The library is at the forefront of providing information services to her respective university community which comprises of students, faculty and other members in order to support their teaching, learning and research needs.
