The principal officers of Skyline University Nigeria (SUN), being led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sudhakar Kota, has paid an official visit to the Kano State University of Science and Technology (KUST) on 7th, January 2020 over collaboration in library, personnel/students’ interaction and joint research.

While speaking to an audience comprised of the Vice-Chancellor of KUST, Prof. Shehu A. Musa, the Registrar, Aminu Bello Mohammed, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, Prof. Aminu Umar Fagge, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Prof. Tijjani Saleh Bichi, the Bursar, Hajia Balaraba Tijjani Abdullahi amongst other management personnel, Professor Sudhakar Kota said that a collaboration is a good initiative for both institutions for the benefits of the communities.

Considering that Skyline University Nigeria has initiated active MoUs with notable institutions around the world, Prof. Kota said he was in KUST to extend the same to the university and to share ideas and knowledge resources with Nigerian universities. According to him, “We don’t just sign MoU and shelf them; when we commit ourselves to an undertaking, we put them on our shoulders and run with it.

In his remarks at the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor of KUST, Prof. Shehu A. Musa said, that he was happy that the collaboration was coming at a time when the university (KUST) was undergoing a positive transformation under his leadership. He stated that both institutions should consider the evolvement of an executive education that would entail professional interaction, students’ interaction, and joint research.

Professor Shehu who noted that as a university, KUST will welcome any international establishment, especially of a private university in Kano State, Nigeria. “I want to inform you that what Skyline University Nigeria is doing, being an international educational institution was well appreciated but a collaboration would ensure that the two institutions get to their desired destination in quick time.

While giving the closing remark, The Head of Corporate Affairs of Skyline University Nigeria, Engr. Bashir Garba said that he was pleased with the discussion so far, being positive with greater promises of a fruitful relationship.
